Whats the purpose of the limit function?

if you have a laser or high output light closer to people and you don't want to hit people in the eyes, you can put a hard limiter so the mover doesn't sweep the crowed or a laser doesn't hit a mirror in the room. and you can hard limit dimmers for the same reason. its a fantastic feature.
