FADING BETWEEN STATIC SCENES ?

Post by Cinaski33 »

sw ver. is 5 official.

Good morning all. For sure the question has been placed already but searching the word fade I haven't seen it.
I'm new to this great sw (I just bought DVC Gold). For my theatre show I created a bank with 9 static scenes. Is it possible to fade between them and if yes where is the area to work on for it?
Or do I need to create scenes in a different way?
I'm a beginner and I'm very happy to have already set up my 8 par and 2 spot scenes. (the sw is really easy to use!)

thx to all for an answer or a suggestion.

I have an issue with that option :

when trying to fade between static scenes that affect the same fixtures, which contains the same dimmer information but, say, a different color, the fade will dip to black before applying the new look. That means every time I want to change a color, I get a nasty black blimp.

any solution to that ?

I apologies but I don't seem to get this blackout issue with my testing, are you sure its not just that fixture?

I guess you can do it with a super scene? The only issue is you can't change it manually when live.

If you've found a solution. Please lmk :)

I can only say that I tried it and got a smooth blending between scenes (both scenes must have fade in and fade out times).

The question that came into my mind whilst testing this...
How can I manually fade between two scenes - like having two faders on a console for two scenes in order to mix them live.

I think, right now is not a feature out for that...

But it would be awesome to have it!
