New Fading-Bug in Superscene in todays update

Post by mheidler »

There is a new bug I think with the the fading of dimmerchannels by using a superscene.
There are 2 ways to fade in and out (see picture)

The right version in my picture works fine.
In the left version, the spots did not fade in and out, they switch!

In beta9 it worked fine.

Regards,
Michael

It is the Version from 6.3.2023.
There was a popup-window at startup, that there is a new version.
Now this version is also availible in the download-section.

In b09 there was an bug and sometimes there was an fade, sometimes no.

Fade which can set up inside an block, is a fade between other block which are playing in the same time.

If there is only one block, there is no fade (fade between nothing and something produce nothing).
If you want a fade, you must just add an other block to produce fade between something and something.

I hope it's understandable for you.

You mean something like that (Picture)?
Block 1 = Fixture 1 with fade out
Block 2 = Fixture 2 with fade in
Is this what you mean? But there is also no fade.

If bothe blocks are Fixture 1 it's the same, no fade.
And why it works, if I use a generic single channel with only one block? There is a fade between the block and nothing.

For my work I can change my programming and use only the dimming-curve, but it is not nice.
A fade between one block and nothing should be a fade in or fade out like in b09.

No you have to put a block which contains data for the same fixture.

For example If you want a fade between dimmer off and dimmer full you need an dimmer off block below the block dimmer full.

Thank you, now I understand this function.
I placed a block for red in Track 1 and a block for green on Track 2, Fade out on Block one, no Fade in on block 2, and now the spot fades from red to green.

For me this is ok, I can work with that.

Michael
