V 5.0.b0 | problem SCENES IN LIVE MODE - faders overwrite [w/videos]

Post by joaopedrofonseca »

Hi to all.

First of all congrats for this new version. I work a lot in big theaters with this program. It's something especial.

Problem: in Daslight 4 in live mode I always change the values of some faders because I don't want them predefined (already edited on edit mode) - this makes it possible the values persist between scenes switching. And if a scene already has predefined values, when we selected that scene it changes to the values that were created in the edit, that's perfect. Here's a video example - I change the value on the edited fader then I select a scene and goes to the edited settings, when I change the values on the non-edited fader it keeps the value between scenes:

https://youtu.be/lEhKwu27RSo
Edited scenes:
- scene1 red: 2 fader 100% - dimmer and red
- scene2 blue: 2 fader 100% - dimmer and blue
- the other faders don't have edited values.

In this Daslight 5 all the faders are down and when you change a fader it changes for all scenes, overwrites everything. And this is very annoying. We don't have the freedom we used to have to manipulate better in live. Here's a video example :

https://youtu.be/Miiz9LCChxk
Edited scenes:
- scene1 red: 2 fader 100% - dimmer and red
- scene2 blue: 2 fader 100% - dimmer and blue
- the other faders don't have edited values.

Thoughts: the old system is better and more secure for projects with more details for a better live experience. If this "little" thing can be a option: the scene lock the values or can be edited in live, would be amazing!

Thank you,
