Standalone?

Hi,
Im considering buying DVC FUN controller. One question- is it possible for it to work not connected to the computer at all? I would like to have it work truly standalone. I mean connecting the USB to a power outlet? Would it work with a usb cellphone charger or something similar?

Hey,

Our DVC Fun interface can be used for StandAlone purpose, indeed. As for all our StandAlone compatible products, you will need to create your scenes using our software (here Daslight4), and save them into the interface.

Thanks. But im wondering how the dvc is powered if its not connected to a laptop...i would also like to connect it wirelessly via Dfi to fixtures.

This is a good way to power your interface in StandAlone. Remember, though, you need a Mini-USB cable.

Yes, the DVC FUN controller can actually work in standalone mode without connecting to a computer. You can power it through a USB power outlet, such as a USB mobile phone charger, which provides the necessary power for its standalone operation.
