Stacking and reversing an effect

Post by markcooper »

Hi

I want to create two circle movements for moving heads but want them symmetrical. The easiest way to do this is to reverse pan and tilt on the fixture. However, that just makes programming the other scenes more difficult.

I read that you can stack two effects and reverse one of them. I have two questions:

1. Is there a way to copy and paste and effect to I don't have to try and recreate the circle?
2. Can you sync the two stacked effects as the appear to start at different times?

Thanks

Hello,

I'm afraid none of these are possible with Daslight4. These are all things you will be able to do in Daslight5, though.

Thanks. Good to know. I have been accepted into alpha testing and am just waiting for my link to the alpha testing forum so I can start testing it!

I presume I cannot actually output dmx with the old interface tho?

Correct.
If you're using a DVC Fun interface, you can acquire a licence by contacting the support team via ticket here : https://store.daslight.com/en/support

Former DVC Gold and DVC GZM models aren't compatible with Daslight5.
All new models (DVC Fun, Gold and GZM) currently available on our online store are natively compatible with Daslight5.
