MH Welle mit Fade-Out

Post by DJmax »

Hallo Leute,

Hey,

Create a scene with only 3 steps :
- Step 1 : Dimmer 0 + position up
- Step 2 : Dimmer Full + position half way
- Step 3 : DImmer 0 + position down

All you'll need to do next is give the time you want for each step.

TomHat

Hello,

I do the steps mentioned by TomHat with my Varytec Hero Spot 90 MH and could see that the dimmer fading is not linear.

For example, if you set a duration of 3 seconds for every step, Daslight4 will fade the dimmer from 0 to 255 in the first second of the first step and fade the the dimmer from 255 to 0 in last second of the third step.

Is there any way to get the fading to the whole 3 seconds of the step?

Hey,

That's odd, what time values did you give your steps ?

Hi,

every step has a duration of 3 seconds and 1 second as waiting time.
But I also tried longer duration for the fade in and fade out and also several values for the waiting time.

Alright, it seems there is a misunderstanding of my earlier advice here. Could you please send over your showfile (in a .ZIP archive) atached to your next message ? So I can check it quickly.

Hello,

of course ... no problem.
I send you the showfile as attachment. The scene you can take a look on is for example "2 faded up" or "4 faded up".

Hi
Thanks TomHat. I have the same problem as s.broeer. Dimmer and tilt are not synchronized. I look at the s.broeer file.
best regards

s.broeer. I couldn't import your file into the 3D Visualizer.
I helped myself differently:
I generated a movement in 52 steps. I assigned a dimmer value to each step. So I was able to realize a fading in the downward movement.

Hi DJmax,

the file is a show-file that you can open in Dashlight4, I didn't trie to open it directly in the 3D virtualizer.
And thanks for your workaround, but I think that could not be the wayy we must use

Hello,

Sorry for very late response. Thank you for your showfile.

Have you had a chance to find a solution yourself ?

In our understanding : the fade setting is the transition between steps, so after the 1st plays, and before the 2nd plays. So if you want a smooth transition, Set fade to 3 seconds to match the hold time to 0 second.

thanks for explaining the way to do.
I try this out and then come back with the result.
