Hello,
I've just get a M-Audio Keystation MK32 and want to use it with Daslight4.
The keyboard is actived at the prereferences and could be used for midi-mapping at the programm.
Unfortunatelly the keyboard has velocaty, and so it is difficult to map a scene to one of the keys because everytime you press the mapped key, you must press it with the exactly pressure while mapping the key. Otherwise nothing happens ...
As it is not possible to deactivate the velocaty at the keyboard, I want to ask if there's any way to ignore or deactivating the velocaty in Daslight4? I take a look at the prereferences but found nothing.
Kind regards,
Stephan

Re: Deactivating or ignoring velocaty of midi keyboard
Hi Tom,
I think that Daslight4 handles the velocity of a keyboard.
Because everytime you press a key at the keyboard, you get a different value for that key in the Midi Mapping Dialog window.
I'll will make a short video of what I mean later this evening and will send it to you as a private message.
Thanks, and have a nice weekend

Hi
Having exactly the same problem with my APC Key25 Midi-Keyboard.
All the action button mapping is fine...but cannot map the Keys...want to "play the Light"...
How didi you handle the problem ? I don`t understand what you did. Can you give me more info ?
DASHLIGHT: Please fix this issue. This is a core feature and should work out of the box.

Re: Deactivating or ignoring velocaty of midi keyboard
Hi,
what I did is to download Midi Translator Pro from Bome Software and set up a project in this software which gives a fixed value, for example 50, back to Daslight4 when you press a key on the keyboard. So velocity is "deactivated" for Daslight4 and you can play the light
Kind regards,
Stephan

Re: Deactivating or ignoring velocaty of midi keyboard
thank`s for the info...doesn`t work for me...don`t know why...anyway...should be an "out of the box" Dashlight feature...
At the moment I have a lot of issues with dashlight...working with QLC+ ...however...dashlight has this nice and handy user interface...the idea behind the software is great...BUT....
