Fade up not working

Hi there, apologies if this has been answered but I can't find it!

I am trying to get lights to fade up nicely. The fade down works beautifully.

I have set a 5 second fade up (fade is switched on) but the lights just snap up at 5 seconds, rather than fading smoothly.

What have I missed?

UPDATE:

When I start a new show file and add fades, it works. Does that mean I have a corrupt show file for the original show file?

Is there a way to fix this or do I need to start a new show file from scratch? Is this a noob error I have made?

PS I have tried to add the offending show file as an attachment, but am getting an invalid file extension error when I do so...

A new show file works perfectly, so problem sort of solved now that I have reprogrammed everything.

I am still very intrigued as to what could have gone wrong with the show file - this could be a nightmare if it happened on a complex show plot!

Any ideas?

This is a bug... yesterday I had to reinstall my software because playing around in show mode(!?) leads to a total crash of the FadeIN/OUT functionality. ALL(!) my scenes were affected. Nothing worked...I had to reinstall...

Meaning: the software is still very buggy...don`t know why there are no more current updates ???
