Is it possible to implement the use of all the different touchscreens.
We have delay problems with standard touch screens

And please, implement the use off 4K screens as well.
I needed to bring my screen resolution down to be able to read text

A next version of the fixture creator app would be nice.
Easier to create and modify to your own needs, or more presets. Add a preview mode.
Better integration of RGB, etc, LED control in the fixture creator

I am sorry to give so much job to do.
But the is another one on the run

My #1 request is to be able to layout fixtures on a grid and then be able to lock them in place. But I still want them to be selectable to make fader changes. I use Daslight in a theater setup and it is frustrating when the fixture blocks get moved slightly when selecting them.

My #2 request is the ability to have a timeline that supports audio. This timeline then could call up other scenes thus allowing you to create a scene that can be timed out to an audio track.

EasyView Suggestions:

1. I would love to be able to use my mouse scroll wheel again to move the fixture back & fourth like in older versions.
2. For the light beam distance to be much greater as i always am designing outdoor stages and the beam disappears/ becomes a bad pixeled hexagon when being faced directly at the camera.
3. For the visualizer to run at higher fps as daslight 4 seems to have a limit of 32fps.
4. Upgraded lasers, make them look somewhat realistic.
5. Some moving/animated objects (Truss,crowd,smoke,fire,geysers)

The ability to use a trigger to advance to the next step in a scene. This would be incredibly useful for people who use Daslight in theater productions. Rather than chaining several scenes together, it would be cleaner and more useful to be able to hold on a step until a trigger, then advance to the next step and hold.

Basically, keep the fade, but the hold is infinite until advanced by a trigger.

Example:

Scene
# Fade Hold Time Hold for Trigger
1 00:00:00 00:00:00 [X]
2 00:02:00 00:00:00 [X]
3 00:02:00 00:00:00 [X]

I'm not a professional user in the meaning that i use it a few times a year to make shows for a youth circus. So no lighting company that works with it every day. My setting are circus shows with children.

For me the most important improvements would be this:

- locking the grid with lights. You don't want to move them when you select one.

- locking your groups, most of the time for some reason the groups got updated with all the lights instead of the ones you want in a group.

- RGB works great, but with the newer lights with RGBW or in mine case RGBWA+UV the colors are not correctly shown in Daslight and the 3D visualizer. For example, if i use a combination with red and white (full), in Daslight it will be shown as white, where it should be more like pink.

- Creating scenes like a movie editor, where you can see the sound so it's easier to make light effects happen on a beat.

- Making it possible to start the music with a time delay or manual mouse click. Now i make two scenes, with a time jump or manually. Now if i change some of the lighting, i have to change two scenes.

- Making it possible to manually select the steps in a scene with the same music. This could be great for theaters where there is a background music and the light has to change on a cue that take place on the stage.

- Changing audio levels in a scene, now i have to do that manually by importing it in a video editing program and re-rendering the MP3 file.

- Also accepts other music formats, like Flac and Wav.

- I don't need it yet, but why also not accept pictures and movies, that will be shown on a second screen like a beamer.

- References to another scenes, now i create duplicate scenes with the same settings so i can easily go to the next one, but scenes like main lighting before, during breaks and after shows. or during conversion moments with setting up the gymnastic mats etc between two acts. With 15 acts, we easily got 5 times a conversion moment, with the same lighting and background music. So you can change one scene, and you can change them all.

- References/Presets to fades (audio and light), so you can easily adjust several fades. You can select all scenes and change it, but what if you want a scene with a instant black-out.

- No bugs between updates, i once updated Daslight one day before a show and the fading between scenes wasn't working any more. Got lucky i still got the old install file.

- Tablet app that also works with the live modes.

- Live/cue modes where you got bigger tiles with the scenes like a playlist underneath each other. Maybe this gives you also more space for showing the audio track, selecting steps

For a non professional user still a lot of suggestions, but i think with these options Daslight could be a great solution for shows for theater, circus associations, a primary/secondary school musical, funeral, wedding, presentation etc.

I would also love some Pan & Tilt Size.

I tried sunlite just for that option to change the stage size and you show can "grow" with it but i don't like the sunlite, it's not intuintuive as daslight is for me.

So the abillity do just enlarge or shrink the pan & tilt scenes and specially the effect ones in a easy way would be nice. Something like a "zoom".

No features or technical request here. I am shure that technically your are 100 times more prepared than me.
Anyway i can give you a point of view:
When you imagine the Daslight user try different visions.
I am shure that there is a lot of 20 years old, in front of a good laptop and a mixer, watching the show from the front but….that is also old people (like me) that pretend to control their lights from the stage (like me) playing their keyboards (like me), with eyeglasses (like me).
The result is not so bad, anyway i’d like to grow up and synchronize lightshow with some .wav and maybe control via Midi my blinders ‘ blackouts and hazer.
Is a lot of work but is my life :)
So if you ask what I’d need is
A stable but easy to control system
A page for the show minimalistic (fullscreen and with few visible items) and with big bottons and font maybe organizable by song.
An easy way to control songs lightshows with a akai force, or mpc, or Midi keyboard.
An easy way to synchronize my music with the lightshow.
Automations for the movement of the moving heads.
And all these…..at a good price :)
