removal of old installs

Using windows 10 home.
If I have a look in the installed app's, I find several Daslight4 installs.
Both releases and bèta's.
However, I'm not able to remove this entrees, because the windows removal tool tells me, that the program is not existing.
How can I remove old installs? I hate to have more than 10 old entries in the programs...…………

Hi,

If you mean : remove entries in "Apps & Features" (where applications can be uninstalled), it is possible to delete entries in the registry but it's TRICKY.
It may happen when a Daslight4 folder has been removed manually.

This is a way to do it.
Right click on Start > Choose Run > In Open dialog, type Regedit > OK.
Search for "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall".
You should see keys looking like "{c0d63a79-028b-4524-b33e-7e3bf3bd48d3}" with values on the right panel, among these values : "DisplayName / REG_SZ / Daslight4".
Be careful to check the "InstallLocation" to locate the right version of Daslight to remove !
Delete the whole key (e.g. {c0d63a79-028b-4524-b33e-7e3bf3bd48d3}).
Repeat this operation for each unwanted entry.
Do NOT delete the entry for the version you are currently using.

Again, BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN EDITING THE REGISTRY because wrong actions may prevent programs to run.

If you click on a shortcut that points to a program that does not exist anymore, Windows 10 detects it and you should be prompted to delete the shortcut automatically.

After that, if a folder still exists with an older version of Daslight, you can delete the folder manually.
