Interface for dvc

Sorry if I’m in the wrong topic and for my bad English.

I want to use dvc 3 or 4 to controle my lights, but i don’t want to spent so much money on an interface because I only have 1-3 events a year.

So now my question is it possible to use a different interface with these softwares if yes what interfaces are recommended??
