Conflicting MIDI

Post by AdamWhy »

Is there anway to clear all programmed MIDI commands using an external MIDI controller?

I seem to have some conflicting commands that are causing the software to freeze.

Thanks in advance!

Hey,

Sorry, Daslight 4 doesn't have any MIDI general clearing feature. If you want to take away MIDI pairings, you have to do so one-by-one, and uncheck MIDI feature everywhere.

What MIDI controller are you using ? Most often freeze problems appear when MIDI feedback is sent from the software to the MIDI controller.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply!

Im using an AKAI APC Mini.

The software freezes and becomes unresponsive as I believe I have conflicting commands, once unplugged, the software starts working again.

Hey,

This very much sounds like a bug we know of, often happening with APC Mini. Please try this :
Go into all your MIDI slider pairings and uncheck the "feedback" boxes.

The software should stop freezing.

Please let me know how this went.

Wouldn't that be a usability enhancement par excellence? If you want to restructure your Akai Mini APC Pads, cause your show file grew with more scenes etc. it is PITA to remove midi assignments one-by-one. Also for support cases it might be easy to check if a midi assignment is the problem - you don't necessarily need to save that change.
