Hey,
i want to use Daslight 4 with an DVC4 hardware interface to control some spots in our live situations.
So we have to think about issues when the connection between device and software is loss during a show, for example the software or system crashes. There is a couple of questions:
- When the connection from the device to the software is interrupted, what will the device do? Start the first stored scene?
- What will happen when the software is restart?
- When in stand-alone mode, which options do we have to control the scenes?
-- Only the buttons at the device?
-- Any midi/dmx input signals?
-- When using the dvc4 gzm, is it possible to control the scenes via Network? (Browser / Remote-App?)
Thanks!

Live show backup / stand alone control
Re: Live show backup / stand alone control
Hi Sönke,
http://www.daslight.com/manuals/#/en/da ... remote-app
it’s also possible to connect the DVC4 GZM via the ethernet socket to your network and connect to Daslight in Live mode. Plus the GZM can be connected to the network via ethernet and controlled via the Easy Remote App in Stand Alone mode.

If the USB of the interface is disconnected the device will power off and the DMX output will stop. If the connection to the software is broken e.g the software is closed but the devices still powered it will enter Stand Alone mode and start playing the Scene stored on the device. You can set the device to start on a certain Scene or the last Scene played using the Hardware Manager settings.- When the connection from the device to the software is interrupted, what will the device do? Start the first stored scene?
If the software is closed the Device will enter Stand Alone mode and start playing the Scenes stored in it’s memory. If you open the software again the device will connect and enter PC mode. There will be no DMX output until you start your Scene playing again from the Live or Show Mode tab.- What will happen when the software is restart?
Yes you can use the + & - buttons to change the Scene playing. You can also use the dry contact port to trigger Scene in Stand Alone. There is no Midi/DMX input in Stand Alone Mode.- When in stand-alone mode, which options do we have to control the scenes?
-- Only the buttons at the device?
-- Any midi/dmx input signals?
The Show Mode tab of Daslight 4 can be linked and controlled by the Easy Remote App with any of our DVC4 devices along as the computer running the software and the smartphone/tablet running the App are on the same network. This is just for Live use however and the software needs to be running for this to work.-- When using the dvc4 gzm, is it possible to control the scenes via Network? (Browser / Remote-App?)
