Have contacted Daslight customer support no reply yet.



Having lots of bugs since updating the beta version.

- Programme completely freezes if left unattended. Doesnt work even after close and re-open, i need to restart my OS.

- 3D View doesn'y work. Just a black screen with blue border.

- Can no longer invert fixture movements in fixture viewer.

You've got strange issues.
What OS version are you using ? Is your computer rather new or older ?

In some circumstances, when the program freezes or crashes, a task remains active although the software seems to be closed. Open the task manager (ctlr + shift + esc) and stop any remaining Daslight task. Maybe you will be able to run it again without restarting your computer.

The 3D view does not start with some graphic cards. The development team is aware of that issue and they should release a fix as soon as possible. Does the 3D display a crash message or does it just stay black ?

About the fixture movements inversion, do you mean the options cannot be selected in the list view (as if the checkboxes were disabled) ? Or wrong DMX values sent to the fixtures ?
I cannot reproduce this issue.

Im using Windows 10 on a 2017 high spec laptop.

Even after Ctr -Alt- Del the software fails to reopen smoothly and is very unresponsive.

The 3D view doesn't display an error, it stays black with a blue glitch around the edge of window.

Regard fixture inversion, I mean, If i am creating a Pan - Tilt effect to 2 fixtures, there used to be an option to invert the movement so they would mirror eachother. (I know you can creat another Pan - Tilt on the same Effect generator, but I used to be able to create a movement, and then select invdert fixtures so they would invert. (If that makes sence)

Hi,

I will try the fixture inversion later in depth ('cause I'm very busy today) but, at first sight, I think the inversion flag has to be set in Patch (List view) for the fixtures before the generation of the pan/tilt effects, as the DMX values are computed and stored in memory.
No yet sure about that but it's worth a try.
