Pan Tilt Error in Editor and Live on some Movinglights

Post by da_fisch »

Hello,

I have a problem that I see often after a lot of hours programming and live mode.
I have for an example 4 movingheads and after some hours I'm able to move all fixtures but only see the pan tilt values from two of them. The 2 other fixtures shown everytime 0 in the Fader. But on DMX output window the real sending value is shown.
And when I move the pan or tilt faders of the corrupt fixtures, after i release the mouse key the fader jumps back to 0, but the selcted value is sending to fixture. Thats horrible if you have to correct a position later.

I'm not able to solve this issue.
I use the actual version of DVC3 But I saw this also in th older versions.

On the linked file in MH folder, the fixtures 176 and 192 (ADJ Vizi Spots).

Hi da_fisch, I have tested your show and get the same problem with the MH Buhne fixture.

I have passed the details on to the developers so they can investigate the problem. I will let you know when I here back and have a fix. Thanks for pointing it out.

Hi there,

There appears to be a problem with the fixture profile. Just to check it was a Vizi Spot LED PRO that you were having problems moving the pan/tilt faders for?

Sorry for the late replay.

Yes in most cases. But I have this Problem one or two times in past also at the Eurolite LED Par 56 QCL devices.

Now same problem with actual beta. Eurolight Phantom 50 LED.

PAN/TILT fader are jumping to zero instead standing on actual dmx value

In previous versions they work good.

Very hard to change previous settings.

Okay everyone. Found the Bug.

If you patch a new fixture everything is fine. But if you once press pan or tilt inverse the bug happens on this fixture according on which inverse was selected. The fader jumps back to 0 or any other value if you change it.

On this point you have to remove this fixture and patch it again.

It doesn't matter. The invers function in setup does not work at all.

Here is a little video...

Hello everyone,

Sorry you had to wait this long but you should find a proper fix to this bug in the next beta version of DVC3 available soon on the website. Thank you all for the feedback !

EDIT: Unfortunately, for most shows already existing with this bug on Pan/Tilt revert and/or swap, I'm afraid you guys will have to delete and patch again the concerned fixtures. This way the show will be saved correctly and work perfectly again.
Sorry for the trouble...

Kind regards,
