Compatible Midi Keyboards

Post by futureclubnights »

Hi All

I am currently setting up some DMX lighting in a nightclub for one of our customers. They want to control the scene buttons from a MIDI KEYBOARD, Something like a M-AUDIO USB midi. Can anyone recommend a compatible keyboard which will link into daslight for control?

Many Thanks

Hello,

i´m testing this week the Korg microKEY 61, the Korg nanoKEY2 and the Korg nanoPAD2.

I tell here the results.

I need also a compatible Midi Keybord with the Note On / Note Off function for Flash-Scenes with DVC 3.

The M-Audio Series dosen´t support Flash-Scenes (Note on / Note Off).
Standart Scenes are going with the M-Audio Series...

hi ,
i think the best one is BCF 2000 .
why ?

- 8 motorized faders
-32 touch sensitive encoders
-32 buttons under encoders
-16 + 4 buttons
---------------------------------
one preset
-32 presets
---------------------------------
fully editable

check behringer websites

Is the BCF 2000 compatible as a midi controller for the DVC128?

re marcodrum :

try to compare price of both ... :)

but U'r right , midicon is a bit better , has more buttons , but hasn't motorized faders - this can be a little problem when man need control more then 8 dimmers ...

- compatible is each midi controler , doesn't matter on mark or price . just on possibilities of settings
U can use combined controlers like BCF 2000 , MidiCon , APC 20/40 same like keybords or pads ..

Korg nanoKontrol 2 works...

Post by Aralon »

I´ve tested the Korg nanoPAD 2 and the Korg nanoKONTROL 2.

The nanoPad 2 dosen´t work with flash scenes, all other works

The nanoKONTROL 2 works. You must set in the settings only the OFF VALUE to 127 and the ON VALUE to 0. Then works the buttons with flash scenes.

On the nanoPAD 2 you can´t set this.

Wrong! In the editor you can choose about an note signal, an Control change and a program change signal. What you need is a control change signal (CC). I pretty sure that this will work!

Hey i have 2 tables behringer x tough compact. When i set them both on daslight they do the same movements. I want to let them work sepperate so u have more faders. The probleem is that daslight sees the 2 tables buth reserves and sends the same signaal. So it works Just like one table in stad of 2 tables.
Is there a solution for thuis probleem please.?

Hello Gino C,

I have deleted your other topic duplicating this message.
Daslight 4 treats all identical models as one device. This is something we will be working on for next versions of our Daslight solution.
