2 DVC4 in same local area network imterfering

Post by juanjo »

Hi. We have 2 DVC4 in the same local area network.
When in SHOW mode, commands that are applied in one of the Dashlight window affects the fixtures in Show mode in the second one!

We dont share DMX network so we guess that one Dashlight software is sending commands to the other one via IP network...
When disabling the IP network interface, problem goes away.

Can you please help? Thank you.

Hi there,

When you click a Show Mode button or fader it broadcasts this message over the network. This means if you have another computer running Daslight 4 on the same local network it can effect this this Show to. You can stop this by disabling the Remote option on the 2nd computer (see image). This does mean you can only have one computer using Show Mode/Easy Remote on the one local network.

Kind regards

I understand but I need booth remote options running since we use tablet PCs in parallel with the PC.

Is there another solution?

Doesnt SHOW MODE messages over the network contain aan aplication or USB interface ID to avoid setting actions in another aplication or device?

This is weird...

I just found out that closing UDP 4003 port in windows firewall for the IP of the second Daslight solves the problem.

Please confirm with developers. Thank you

Thanks for the feedback. The Daslight developers are currently away from the office for the next few weeks. I have made a note of your comments and they will investigate further when they return. Kind regards
