DVC4 GOLD starts DMX noise after a while

Post by laurixxxx »

Hi There,
I am new to daslight systems, only bought it 2 month ago for Christmas show.
Problems have started with first project. I went thru most of the posts and could not find the answer.
First problem is that we left the live show running for a few hours, and then DVC4 Gold box started making DMX noise, making all lights strobe randomly. I unplugged USB cable from PC and plugged it back in and noise was gone, but it repeats all over again. The show is still running and lights responding, but with this noise.
Any one can help please?

Maybe dumb but to be safe:
Do you have a terminator plugged into your last Fixture?

How many Fixtures do you have in a row?
How long is your total cable length?

I had the same problem.
I solved it with a couple of ferrite blocks on the USB cable.

That also works for me.
