I have a DVC4 GOLD.
Is the art-net function unlocked?
I would like to add other universes, for example. by connecting an ELC Buddy (two universes). In the settings screen Daslight sees the buddy but I can't get it to work ...
Can anyone help me?
Thank you!
DCV4 Gold Art-Net Function
Re: DCV4 Gold Art-Net Function
Hello
The DVC4 Gold does not have Art-Net.
The only product with Art-Net out of the box is the DVC4 Gold ZM.
You would be able to see the Art-Net node in Daslight, however you would need an Art-Net licence to allow access to it.
To purchase a licence you would need a Nicolaudie SUT device to synchronise with the purchase at https://store.dmxsoft.com/
Unfortunately the DVC4 Gold is not a SUT device. The DVC FUN is a SUT device however, as is the Sushi-DS.
If you wanted to upgrade your DVC4 Gold to a DVC4 Gold ZM or a DVC FUN, please contact our support team for more information on this. https://store.daslight.com/contact
Alternatively if you wish to purchase a Sushi-DS and Art-Net licence, please visit: https://www.dmxsoft.com/
Kind Regards

Re: DCV4 Gold Art-Net Function
I have a question which is similar to the entry post.
My Setup:
2 DVC 4 Gold
4 DMX Universes are set:
Universum 1: 70 Channels
Universum 2: 500 Channels
Universum 3: 387 Channels
Universum 4: 460 Channels
Total Channels: 1.417 Channels
My aim:
I want to control some channels (about 50 channels / triggers) via Art-Net Input.
The Art-Net Sender is on the same computer on which Daslight runs.
My Problem:
When I set the Virtual Artnet to "active", I have to assign it to one of the 4 DMX Universes I use. After done that, there is no more way to control the lights, which are assigned to the DVC 4 Gold Controllers - I think the whole universum is "blocked" by the Virtual ArtNet Controller?
Is it possible to move some of the used Channels in Universum 1 to - for example Universum 3, to have the first Universum free for Art Net Input?
Thank you.

Re: DCV4 Gold Art-Net Function
Hello,
As P-Low said in the post above :
Sadly I think you'll need to look into the DVC GZM interface if you wish to ust D4's ArtNet interface.

Re: DCV4 Gold Art-Net Function
@TomHat
Thank you for your information. Because of that information I bought an DVC Gold ZM Interface now to bring this to work:
Now I can activate the Virtual Art-Net Device. Fine. But how can I use the Art-Net for Input and triggering Channels / Szenes as I wrote above? I could not find out. Setting DMX Inout triggers seems alwas to want a DMX Input on the DVC Interface. But I want to use the Art-Net for DMX Input, that was the reason for me to use Daslight / buy the DVC Gold ZM.

Re: DCV4 Gold Art-Net Function
Hello,
Daslight4 doesn't support DMX-In via ArtNet, sadly. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

Re: DCV4 Gold Art-Net Function
That there is no way to get an input with artnet should be updated.
I have the some problem. I have just upgraded my DCV and now I have no really working system.
