SIUDI7B broken after device name change

Post by FredWalker59 »

Hi
I initially experienced problems with my device ( Daslight Gold ) initially, with firmware 1.24 on a Mac. I managed to get something about to work ( at least in the hardware manager ) with firmware 1.23, so I decided to change device name via hardware manager, and since then it's totally broken. Software still recognizes the interface but no longer the product it refers to. as enclosed image.

I still can upgrade firmware at that point :

It does operate, and after it's updated I still get :

And even if the firmware had indeed been updated with 1.24 version.

Do you have any way to reset the name and all settings to default so I can at least restore the partially working state I had before ? I cannot do it from the interface with reset settings grayed.

I'm using the following hardware manager version ( latest coming with Daslight 4 Beta version ), I have not selected beta firmware :
Hardware Manager:
1.9.0-24205 SVN:37087
Qt:
5.7.1 (build for 5.7.1)
XHardWareLibrary:
1.9.1-24165-SVN:36544:36545-(Jul 24 2018)

I have also tested the standalone Hardware Manager from the website ( released 12/2018 ) and have the same issues.

Software Version:
Hardware Manager:
1.9.2-24352 SVN:38927
Qt:
5.7.1 (build for 5.7.1)
XHardWareLibrary:
1.9.4-24352-SVN:38927-(Dec 18 2018)

Again, Just to tell that the name ( network name ) of the device has no incidence on the problem of unknown product I have, since, using DVC2 and Tool.exe I was able to restore the initial name for the gmz controler I have.

In all cases after all, it's unusable :( so either the software ( firmware and software ) is quite crappy or my brand new device is good for crap !
