If you have saved your showfile several times, there should be a "backup" folder near your Daslight software binary file.
Those files can be renamed into ".dvc" files and openned by Daslight.

Although the effects engines are very similar between Lightrider and Daslight 4 or 5, all of them are entirely separate.
I'm afraid an alternating colors effect as you're describing it is best done using steps in Daslight (4 or 5 alike).
