Pretty much but as Vista can listen to a specific application it should be an easy task to just listen to WMP for an example.

So why does this software only listen to the inport of the soundcard?

The sound I tried to get a beat from was played through my Windows Media Player.

How should I setup my computer to get the right signal?
Isn't it pretty stupid to not listen to the sound that is played?

Tried that but I can't get the analyzer to work. It just doesn't get the beat even if I'm playing sounds with pretty clear beats.

This kind of sync is nice but I also want to be able to record a show and replay later with scenes synced with the music.

Tried to ask this in the software forum but got no answer. If this hardware/software suits my needs I will buy a DVC2 GOLD next month or so. I'm about to puchase a software and there is no answer to this question? Don't want to throw that much money on a software/hardware that doesn't work as I want!

So please let me know if it's possible or not, if it's possible how do I do that?
