Problems DVC5 (crashing/bugging)

Post by Tummy »

Hi all,

In a club we use the DVC5 With DVC Gold (with the buttons on top).

In the past we had the DVC 3/4 with older devices.
But never its running stable.

I'm running here 3 universes full. and 1 universe to trigger the Madrix dmx input.

It's running by a windows gaming pc, change this pc every year.
Sometimes DVC is running stable for days/weeks, another time its crashing every few minutes.
The connection with the DVC hardware is lost.

Then I need do disconnect the USB C, Restart the software, and plug it in again.
Running as Admin etc dont fix the problem.

Now I see the new GZM hardware with the USB B cable. I think this will be more stable for fixed instal (?).
Does this GZM has dry-contact ports for external buttons?

Also curious about the option for running DVC5 with a Mac osx instead of the windows.
because, normally.. about stability.. I never have problems with mac's that are running tasks.

Will the OSX a better option than the windows version?

Try to fix the crashing here. Would love more to be asleep than called middle in the night because of the crashing problems. :)

Hey,

One question:
Is the DVC 5 Gold also supplied with power via the RJ45 port?
Do I have to change anything in the settings?

Greetings Klaus

What software is more stable. The windows or the MAC version?

about the crash report/hardware pc etc I will check when I'm at the venue, its closed now in winter.

I'm using DasLight5 on a Mac with Intel-Precessor.
I never had any crashes, it's much more stable then DasLight4.
I don't tested it on Windows.
