How do I deal with a required DMX zero value?

Post by vclighting »

Seems a stupid question, but my fixtures (Martin 518s) use the DMX value of 0 for an open gobo. DMX=1 starts gobo #1 rotating. When I select a scene that alters the gobo, the only way i can now see to drop back to an open gobo is to unselect anything which has altered the channel. Is there any hope? I suppose I could make the first scene steps with a 0 hold 0 fade time setting the DMX value to 1 then to 0 - is there any other simpler way?

OK - I just see the issue in this - the scene no longer works in a simple infinite loop - I would need to put an exceptionally long hold time on step 2...

Thanks in advance.

I don't think there is any way at the moment, but in the next release the 0=off will be scrapped, instead you will have to set the channels mode to OFF.
