colour filters

Post by ramboalex »

can someone please tell me exact how i can colour my pars.
I mean can you put a sort of filter in front of the par so you can change the colour of the par. or is that not possible in 3D simulator.

thanks for reaction

Yes you can do that.
In the 3D Visualiser,
Go into Construction mode.
Click the Fixture tab in the Listing... panel and find you par cans. Expand the Par cans group and you should see a white square on the right side that has a "Paint Can" icon in its column, click that white square and a colour picker will appear, choose you colour.
You are done.

Don't forget to save it.

If you have a separate DMX channel for a scroller then yes, you can pick these within the scan library editor. However this is not possible in Easy View with individual colours.

Even if it were possible, the colour output on a computer monitor is going to look completely different than real life anyway so I would just pick a colour which looks similar.
