The swap Pan/Tilt option does not work properly with the faders. When this option is set to ON, the channels icons are swapped but the channels themselves are not swapped !
Here is how it MUST work.
In normal state (no pan/tilt swap), let's say that the channel 1 is for PAN (horizontal movement) and channel 3 is for TILT (vertical movement). The fader 1 controls the Pan, the fader 3 controls the Tilt (channels 2 & 4 for µ controls).
In swapped mode (swap pan/tilt selected), the channel 1 must control the TILT, the channel 3 must control the PAN.
Same for the 16-bit channels (µ) that work in pair with its main channel.
This is not the case in the present beta (as said above, only the channel icons do swap...).
In swap mode : when the pan/tilt is changed with the Palette, the faders have to be updated also. In the present version, when Pan is changed in the Palette, the Tilt moves (OK so far) but the wrong faders are modified !!
I hope things are clearer now. If something is not clear, please ask ! I think this feature is not fully understood...

BUGS. Associations in SHOW mode. See the attached show file (remove the dummy ".zip").
This show file contains 6 faders in the SHOW page. This is for a 6-beams device.
At design time, the first fader was assigned to Red1 channel, 2nd fader to Red2, 3rd fader to Red3, etc.
- Only the first fader worked fined. The faders 2 thru 6 did not move correctly and always sticked to the maximum value.
- When the show file is saved and loaded again, all associations are reset to Red1 (nothing to red2, red3, ...).

BUG. The STROBE effect simulation does not display for all values. In the ssl2 attached (remove dummy ".zip"), the strobe is displayed for values from 201 to 224 but all remains black from 225 to 247.
This is a very old issue never solved.

BUG. With the attached ssl2 (RGBWA fixture), only the RGB (Red, Green, Blue) and A (Amber) channels do work. The W (White) channel does not operate.
(remove the dummy ".zip" from the file name).

BUG. The order of the fixture tabs is not saved (to the right of "General tab").
When the show file is loaded again, all fixtures tabs are sorted by creation order, even if the tabs order has been manually changed before the show file is saved.
This is an old bug already reported for the previous beta (Jun 16).

BUG (typography). "1 channels" should rather be "1 channel".

BUG. In Effect, Curve. See the attached ssl2 file (remove the dummy ".zip").
With the Curve effect, all 6 beams are processed even though only the first beam is selected (Red 1).
For a beam being processed, there must be 2 conditions : the checkbox selected at left in the drop down list (for each RGB color can be individually chosen) AND the beam selected in the 2D view at right.
It used to work fine in a previous beta and this issue appeared some betas ago due to a regression.
Moreover, the channels are not listed in the same order as the ssl2 file.

BUGS. The effect generator does not work for all kinds of fixtures. See viewtopic.php?f=19&t=2473.
All combinations of 0, 1 or more RGB groups / 0, 1 or more dimmers / 1 or more beams must work fine with all effects; so all present and future fixture models must be used without annoyances with Daslight.
I sent to the developpers (by PM on June 2nd) a complete set of ssl2 files covering almost all types of fixtures for fixing and testing purposes.

BUGS !! In General fixture tab, I assign fader 1 to Akai APC Mini fader 1, 2 to 2, 3 to 3 and 4 to 4.
In the "trad-dimmer" tab, the fader is also assigned to APC fader 4, which was not asked !
When the show file is loaded again, all 4 faders are now assigned to fader 4 (wrong assignments) !
Bugs... Other Bugs... And still new Bugs... Getting tired of Daslight...

BUG. The MIDI devices are now better saved in Preferences. So, the preferred MIDI devices are selected/unselected as before when daslight is run again.
But some annoyances remain. It seems that the MIDI devices are selected/unselected in Preferences by their order number instead of their actual identification name.
Have a look at the screen copies below. In step 2, when Daslight is run without the APC Mini, the LoopBE device "takes its place" and becomes selected. It should not.
A similar issue occurs when the APC Mini is plugged and unplugged without closing Daslight (hot plug/unplug).

IMPROVEMENT (important). The arrow keys above and below the faders are very useful to increment/decrement DMX values one by one for very fine adjustements (like long distance pan/tilt, for example).
It would be better if the DELAY was longer before the repeat starts. In the present version, when I want to change the value by 1 with one click, it's often 2 or 3 values that are added at once.

BUG. In SHOW, when the page is LOCKED, the contextual menu "Duplicate" on the page name should not be displayed (the duplication process must not be possible in locked mode).

BUG. When the "Enable fader animation" is OFF (option not selected).
Load the show file attached (remove dummy ".zip").
Go to LIVE, "led-rainbow" tab, raise the general dimmer (#19) and some RGB colors (#1~#18).
Click the "Reset All" button. All colors are now set to off in the 2D view but only the first fader is reset from ltp to off.
Now, move the RGB faders again (still in "led-rainbow" tab) : colors are not displayed anymore in the fixtures view.
It seems that this issue does not happen in General tab.

BUG. When the "Enable fader animation" is OFF (option not selected).
Load the show file attached. Go to PATCH or EDIT, do the same actions as above. In this case, the colors above the faders are displayed. If LIVE is selected again, it's impossible to get rid of these colors, even with Reset.
I think that the PATCH and EDIT modes should work just like LIVE, I mean no color display above the faders when fader animation is off.
Both for General and fixtures tabs.
