Re: Beta 8 - My bugs list
Thanks Jp.

SMALL IMPROVEMENT. In EDIT, when scenes are selected, it would be convenient to deselect all scenes at once by clicking anywhere else (e.g. below the '+' scene symbol, on the space after the last group, ...).
It's possible to click twice on any scene button to do that but clicking anywhere else is maybe more intuitive.
The SHOW page has that feature already.

BUG with Pan/Tilt effect and Circle shape.
When "Number of Points" is changed, and then reset (by clicking on its own refresh arrow), the circle becomes another shape (see the attached screen copy).
The bad shape after the reset depends on the current number of points.
Same issue with other basic shapes.
Although, the general Pan/Tilt reset works fine.
(13a)
BUG with Pan/Tilt effect and Line shape.
When "Number of Points" is reset by clicking on its own arrow, it's reset to 4 points. However, the Line shape is an exception and should reset to 2 points only (just like its init value).

Re: Beta 8 - My bugs list
Hi again again ^^
12) I'll add it to our ideas list
13) That's "normal" but not ideal: in one case you just reset the number of points (ie not the positions of the points), in the other you reset the whole point list... I'll try to find something nicer...
8 ) 13a) It's fixed

Thanks again again

QUESTION. I have just connected the DVC4 Gold interface.
I try to write scenes to the interface memory but the "Write" button remains inactive.
Do I make something wrong ?

Hey
Regarding the stand alone dialog, it has two sides. On the left you have the scenes of your show, on the right the scenes that will be written on your device. To write, you just need to drag & drop scenes to the right side
Be warned though, we don't allow empty scenes to be written as well..

Re: Beta 8 - My bugs list
Thanks Jp. I thought that selecting the items at left was enough before clicking Write.
I think I'm getting tired
(15)
BUG (CRASH). In the STAND ALONE tool, when I try to drag & drop a single scene (or multiple scenes) in consecutive actions, it craches at the second drop.
If the previous dropped scenes are removed first, it does not crash.
Obviously, the crash happens when the right panel contains something already.
(15a)
IMPROVEMENT. In the STAND ALONE tool, is it possible to make the window resizable (or at least somewhat bigger) ?

QUESTION. Is there a way to switch quickly between PC and Stand alone modes ?
I mean, without deactivating the device in Preferences ? A shortcut ?
(17)
QUESTION. Does DVC4 have a blind mode ? Or is it in your ideas list ?

Hi
15) 15a) I'll look into it
16) There is the "Test" button to force the device to enter/leave the stand alone mode
17) Yes there is, in the scene properties, there is an eye next to the scene name

Re: Beta 8 - My bugs list
Hi, thanks.
(17 cont'd) FOR INFO ONLY. Blind mode is the possibility to create/modify a scene without interfering with a show already running. It's used to prepare a new scene, maybe forgotten or changed in last minute, during the show.
In that case, DMX data is sent for the current show but not for the scene being edited.
I guess it's complicated to implement that feature in Daslight. Furthermore, blind mode is rarely used, in my opinion, and useless for good lighting technicians .

Re: Beta 8 - My bugs list
Ok lol we don't have the same blind mode then
I'll add it to our todo list anyway, it's not that complicated

SUGGESTION. In LIVE, when short scenes are running in a group with jumps, it may become difficult to stop them. The running scene has to be quickly spotted to be clicked.
It's even more difficult when multiple scenes are running together, like the example attached.
Click on the scene "START". It ends up like a Pac-Man game to stop the group.
The scene "STOP" will do the job but it has to be created for each show, each group.
The suggestion is to add a "STOP" button for the group (e.g. between "Pause" and "Previous").

Re: Beta 8 - My bugs list
Hum we'll think about that in the future, we already need to rethink about the play/pause buttons of the groups

Re: Beta 8 - My bugs list
OK thanks. I post suggestions as soon as they come, so they won't be forgotten
(19) QUESTION. BUG ? In Curve and Pixel, the effect is applied on selected beams only. That's OK.
However, in MATRIX, the effect is applied to all beams of the fixture, whatever the individual beams selected.
In practice, the selected beams are automatically deselected when the matrix shape is dragged and dropped over the fixture. And when the matrix shape overlaps the fixture, the beams cannot be selected anymore.
Is all this intentional ?
