Post by b808 »

Hey guys,
I'm having trouble including a Gobo Rotate preset in ScanLibrary on a particular fixture, Martin 518 M3, Can someone please walk me through the steps to create this preset as I tried with no success.

Thanks!

Hi

-Add the channel which your gobo rotation presets are on (this is usually a gobo channel or a gobo rotation channel)
-Select "New" (to the right of the channel).
-Click the image at the top of the diologue underneith the text "Effect Type"
-Select the "Gobo Rotation" preset
-Select the channel type to where to gobo rotation must be assigned. For example if the gobo rotation channel is channel 5 but the gobo channel is channel 4, you need to select channel 3.
-Select the min and max rotation speed and direction and hit ok
-Set the min/max/default preset values as you would with any other preset
-Finally, hit ok and repeat the above steps for the other rotation presets

This makes no sense to me... I tried editing a profile that had this function working... went to add a 2nd gobo wheel and tried to follow the steps but they make no sense! Am I using a different version?? Did this make sense to anyone else???

HELP I'm pulling out my hair! (I am trying to make a fixture with 5 gobo wheels all rotating.

OK Now I get it!

After adding the roataion channel and given it some presets (Index, clockwise rotate, CounterClockwise Rotate)

1) Right click on each preset
2) Select Properties from the context meny
3) above the pictures of the 2 gobos, select which channel is to be rotated
4) select Ok
5) Save your fixture
6) upload a show to youtube so I can see your work :)

THAT method works... cause I just did it
