Hints in Control Menu

Post by CharlyBye »

Hi,
is there a way to add a Text in the control menu?
At the right side of the controllers?
Best way, if i can add the Text in the Scanlibrary Editor.

It is very helpful to me, if i can add some helpful text in reference to the controllers/buttons anywhere in the control menu

Thanks for help,

CharlyBye

Charly you can write in the Editor screen on each line (cue button) in the name field. it defaults to Scene 1. Scene 2. Scene 3...etc. but you can change this.

In the Control (live) screen you will only see displayed 12 characters. but in the editor screen there is much more space to put text.

To explain what i mean:
I'm in the Editor-Tab
Then i click on the fixture i want to edit (ex. Scanner PSC-575)
Then on the left side i click on the button: 'Start automatically with the icon palette' so i have the left window with the tabs on top Pan/Tilt, Gobo, Color, Lightbeam, Other
And on the right i have the window with the itemized devices.

Now i expand the left window and there is much space in the right of the faders.

There is, where i want to have some text within what the Faders specially do or something.

Sometimes i have there a place with named 'Tools'
Like in the fixture Eurolite -> LED PAR 64

When i can put some Text in there, it will be very nice.

Thanks,

Charlybye

you can only change the fixture channel information in the scanlibrary editor.

What kind of other information would you want?

It says the name of the channel and an icon displaying what each preset does. For macros built into the fixture you could make your own icon to explain more clearly what the macro does.
