Hi together,
I'm relatively new to this subject.
I use Daslight 4 and also have a DJ controller from Pioneer and Rekordbox.
Daslight is started when Windows starts.
The DJ controller wants to "login" as a MIDI device when it starts, so I disabled it in Daslight.
Nevertheless the controller remains unusable under Rekordbox, it is not recognized.
I have to exit Daslight 4, restart Rekordbox and then start Daslight.
Is there a workaround so I can use the controller and Daslight without daily restarts?

Re: Daslight 4 Midi
Hi,
As far as I know, a MIDI device cannot be used by 2 applications at the same time.
The first running app "locks" the device for itself.
Maybe, disable the device in Daslight (Preferences -> MIDI -> Disable the "Active" box).
Doing this, the MIDI device should be available for any other application.
Daslight should keep the device disabled at next startup.
Hope this helps.

Hi PolDavril,
I'm afraid not.
The midi device in Daslight 4 is deactivated as usual. Apparently it blocked the DJ controller anyway.
That's exactly my problem.

Hi,
Yep, you're right. I've just made a test with my APCmini.
In my opinion, Daslight should not block any MIDI device that is NOT selected in the preferences at startup, but just leave it available for any other application requiring it.
Maybe a topic for the development team ? @TomHat
