Hey there,
Right, I'm trying to create a new fixture that has both rotation AND gobo selection on the same channel...
I know how to make a fixture so that, for example, channel 4 is gobo selection and channel 5 is rotation speed/direction selection, but can you do both functions on the same channel in Daslight so that it renders in the 3D visuals correctly?!?!
i.e:
0 Open
001-024 Gobo 1, Rot. CCW, Fast -> Slow
025-027 Gobo 1, No Rot.
028-051 Gobo 1, Rot. CW, Slow -> Fast
052-075 Gobo 2, Rot. CCW, Fast -> Slow
076-078 Gobo 2, No Rot.
079-102 Gobo 2, Rot. CW, Slow -> Fast
103-126 Gobo 3, Rot. CCW, Fast -> Slow
127-129 Gobo 3, No Rot.
130-153 Gobo 3, Rot. CW, Slow -> Fast
154-177 Gobo 4, Rot. CCW, Fast -> Slow
178-180 Gobo 4, No Rot.
181-204 Gobo 4, Rot. CW, Slow -> Fast
205-228 Gobo 5, Rot. CCW, Fast -> Slow
229-231 Gobo 5, No Rot.
232-255 Gobo 5, Rot. CW, Slow -> Fast
I'm starting to think it isn't possible?!? But ANY help/ideas would be great!!
Thanks
Ben

Hi Ben
I'm afraid this is not possible. If you could send me a pdf of your user manual to [email protected], I'll have a word with the developers to see if there is a workaround

Do you really need it to visualise correctly ?
I only use the visualiser for position and just use and open gobo and white. For me as long as it is positioned correctly and moves the way I want, I do not worry about colours or gobos or rotation or other effects, that comes when I do the programming as I know what I want and how to get it or just choose the colours/gobos/ etc when I am busking a show.

I like to when I'm trying to sell an idea to some prospective clients!! Joe public find it hard to visualise things like rotating gobos through 3 and 5 facet prisms with split colours!
The only workaround I can do at the moment is to seperate it into two channels for a visual, then leave it as 1 channel for the actual show... It's just annoying that's all...
Never mind!
Thanks anyway...
