What are multiple presets for?

Hi all,

while working a bit with the fixtures for my setup, I wonder in the Library Editor what multiple presets are being used for and how that works:

Would it help me in case I have cross-references for a specific channel. For instance if channel A is set to value X then channel B controls parameter Y? I have some of those for my ADJ Ultra Bar 12, but I removed the modes that use these, as I cannot see a way how to solve this with the validation checks of the Library Editor.
