Hello,
The base.dae issue, is actually an old issue, and it comes from really old fixture profiles which are not setup correctly. It seems to affect mainly par 01, smoke, laser.
If you let us know the exact fixture name and where it originated (Daslight 4 version / Website / Email / Own creation) we can also update it in our global library for future releases.
The issue was never flagged in previous versions as the error handling for this fault was not created/included back then. But the new updates to 3D visualiser now scan the files and check for errors.
Base.dae is a missing 3D object file for the fixture. To fix, you simply need to locate the SSL, open in scan library, and if it is say a Par 01, change to Par 02, and then back to a Par 01 and save it, then replace the file in your SSL library and replace the fixture in your show file. For Laser or smoke where there Is only one option, change it to Par object, and then back to the smoke or laser object.
When replacing the fixtures in your show, you need to patch in the exact same mode, with the same patch address and same index number.
If you have already created a 3D show, you can simply update the file in the Easy View 2 (3D Visualiser) program. To do this, select ‘Build Mode’ and select ‘Fixtures’ in the ‘Object’ window, right-click and select ‘Update Fixture Library’.
If you wish, you can also select ’no’ to finding the file and 3D will work as normal. If you load the same show file into Daslight4/ Easy View 2 from 23/04/2019 you will not see any error messages, but you still won’t get a visible 3D object for that problematic fixture. So the error message is mainly graphical and not fundamental, it is just that now we are flagging the issue, and before we were not.
Regards,
TomHat
