Releasing fixtures after manual take over

Post by performance stage »

Ok, haven't gotten an answer on this one from the tech guys yet.

Let's say you are in live mode, running your show. If you manually grab a fixture during the show, how do you release the fixture back to normal so that it runs correctly in the rest of the show? After I do this now, the grabbed fixture will act crazy the rest of the show, or do nothing. Rebooting the program fixes it, but that sucks in front of 1000 people.

Thanks,

Mike

there are two ways.

firstly in the group tab. ie the fixture that has been altered highlighted.
next to the F1.....F12 buttons there are 3 hands. to release control of highlighted only click the first orange hand, to release all fixtures only in the selected group click the second hand.

to release all manually controlled overidden fixtures or channels, click the third hand.

alternatively in the group channels view. ie all channels within the group visible . box below green dmx box in the group view. if you click this all the channels for the group are visible.

now you will see red htp highlighted individual channels. therse have been overriden in live mode, you can right click on the red HTP, and reset to green auto. the channel will then be released.
