DVC2 + MIDI newbie question

Post by Stefan »

Hello,

I am using DVC2 with a KORG nanoKONTROL2. I can successfully map a fader, e.g. shutter, to a fader of the nanoKONTROL2.

When switching the channel back to AUTO (e.g. for usage in scences) an then returning to MIDI, then always the popup comes up and I need to redefine the mapping to the fader in order to use it again. Is there a way to avoid this?

I have currently no interface connected. Sorry for the newbie question, this is the first time I am trying to use MIDI with DASlight.

Best regards and Thank you in advance,
Stefan

In DVC2 this is the only solution

In DVC3 this works in Latest Takes Priority mode so the latest action (scene activation or MIDI) will always take priority (unless the channel is set to OFF in the scene in which case it will always be MIDI).

Sounds good in DVC3. Does DMX-in behave the same way (DVC2 & DVC3)?

Thanks,

DMX IN behaves the same way as MIDI in. So in DVC3 it works as LTP (if a scene is activated and it uses the same channel as DMX in, the scene will override the dmx in).
