Use HTP/LTP mode.

Post by binox »

I am sorry, but I don't undestand how to use the HTP/LTP mode :oops: .
I read the manual without success. I don't know the basic notions to use those functions. Somebody can help me ( with simple words ).

Thanks Binox

I hope, you get the difference:

imagine you have 2 scenes:
  • 1st gives you a dmx value of 200 in channel 1
  • 2nd gives you a dmx value of 100 in channel 1

Now:
HTP = highest takes precedence or "who shouts loudest, is right"
  • start scene1: DMX -> 200
  • start scene2: DMX still 200 (because 200 > 100)
  • stop scene1: DMX -> 100

LTP = latest takes precedence or "who shouts last, is right"
  • start scene1: DMX -> 200
  • start scene2: DMX -> 100 (because latest command)
  • stop scene2: DMX -> 200

LTP is the "newer" type of giving DMX commands, because in the past it wasn't that easy to transmit LTP commands. For normal you use the LTP today.

I think the advantage over one of them depends of your programming.
Here is - in my view an easy - example:

LED-PAR - 4 channel (R,G,B,dim)
scene1: full blue on (0,0,255,255)
scene2: full red on (255,0,0,255)

LTP:
start 1: blue
start 2: red

HTP:
start 1: blue
start 2: magenta!! (because all the highest values: 255,0,255,255)

Thanks

I tried to create the effect, with my par rgb,

1° scene blue (0,0,255,255)
2° scene red (255,0,0.255)

In live mode I have 2 button ( one for scene)
Only if I selet both button have magenta :roll:
