Smoke Machine Timer

Why does Daslight not have a DMX smoke machine Control. I have tried to make a smoke machine timer but it seems to fire the machine for 2 seconds then keeps the machine running even thou it has a 0 value.

I have built a chase of 2 steps:
Step 1 channel at 60% with 0s fade 2s Hold
Step 2 channel at 0% with 0s fade 3m Hold

Any ideas

try running the smoke machine at a lot less output, I normally only use dmx at "1". it may be that the machine still kicks out smoke that is residual in the heat chamber.

then also longer intervals perhaps, it is a suck it and see situation.
I also create an effects button in flash mode for an override.
