DVC2 and mp3

Post by teunvansambeek »

Hello to all,
I'm a new DVC2 user and I'm trying to create a lightshow that syncs exactly with the music of my band. To do this it would be helpful to have a mp3 track running parallel to the scenes where you can connect the different scenes to all parts of the mp3 to gererate a total scenes-program for the song.

How do I do this or is DVC2 not suited for this kind of programming? That would be a shame because I like the DVC2 interface very much! :D

the only method that I know of is either to use the clock timing of the scenes , this is acurate to point 04 of a second.

or perhaps a better method is to use midi from a keyboard to activate different scenes.

This software does not use time line, which would be the best method to do this. but hey a stop watch and tweaking of the scene lengths works too.
