DVC100 Basic and Virtual Controller 1 on 32-bit Windows 7

Post by Stefan »

Hello,

will DVC1 and the former DASLight Basic Interface run on a 32-bit Edition of Windows 7? Are there know issues related to Windows 7?

Thanks in advance,
Stefan

If you purchased your interface before 2006 it technically isn't compatible with Windows Vista or Windows 7, but it's worth giving it a try as it may work.

Compatibility Mode

Post by Stefan »

Hello,

I do not know the purchase right now, but I could be around 2006. I will look it up.

On a first try, the actual version and drivers of DVC1 worked on Windows 7. I had a program termination when using the Pan/Tilt Window. After switching the program settings to Compatibility Mode for Windows XP SP3, this problem seems to be solved.

I played around for about a hour or so, I could not find more issues. Effects, Scences, Faders etc. are working.

My setup is DVC100, a Lenovo S10e Netbook on Windows 7 Home Premium, 2 GB RAM, four Eurolite TS-255 behind a DMX booster.

Best regards,
Stefan

Hello,

I had my first "early evening to very late night" show with DVC1 on Win7 and did not discover new issues.

Best regards,
Stefan

Hi Stefan, thanks for that, it's good to know the old software runs smoothly on the newer operating systems (with compatibility mode)
