Hi,
I'm new here on this forum and also with this software.

A few months ago I got a DVC2 512 interface from a friend dj (nerver used) and I tried it out, downloaded the software from dashlicht and installed it, but the day after I want to try it out but my interface wouldn't connect...

Whats the problem?? the program works fine on windows vista

Hi

Make sure you're using a 32 bit OS as the interface is not 64 bit compatible.

Open up tools.exe which can be found in the software directory, is your interface detected here? If yes, update to the latest firmware. If the software still doesn't detect the interface, please send over a screenshot of the first page of the tools.exe.

Finally:
-uninstall the existing software version and try to download and install the latest software and firmware from the website
-try with a different USB cable
-try with a different USB socket
-try with an entirely different computer
