third button

Post by elagarrigue »

Hi
I'd like to know how the 3rd button on the interface works (global level).
Is it a threshold or a continuous limiter ?
I mean : if I set a 2 second long fade from 0 to 250 in my scene and then I put this button to something like 50%, what will it do ?
1- go from 0 to 125 in 1 sec and stay at 125 during the 2nd second
or
2- go from 0 to 125 continuously during 2 seconds ?
Thanks for the answer, this is really important to me :-)
Best,
Emmanuel

Hey,

This button is a general dimmer, it should affect your show according to the option :

2- go from 0 to 125 continuously during 2 seconds

Hi again,
Sorry but I can't get this to work (I tried with an old DVC3 128).
I created a scene with only 1 step, 1 PAR 64 @100%. When running in standalone mode and pressing the third button nothing happens :-(
Maybe you can help me in another way : I need to run 216 PAR 64 with a lot of steps (120). I will buy a new interface to handle this in standalone. Is there a simple way in Daslight4 to do this : program all the steps (on or off, 5 sec. fade) and apply a global dimmer so I can adjust the global level of all PARs and steps at once ? (I will have to adjust this level at the very last moment, once the installation is done, depending on the light level in the room)
Hope you can help me ...
Emmanuel
