DVC Fun Offline use

Post by Grandsloth »

I use a DVC Fun and we are considering buying a secound one, but we recently have a couple of problems with DMXsoft and the online connection, because most of our gigs are offline and Daslight 4 sends notification that we have so and so many hours left before we need to connect, totally blocking the Daslight 4 programm, which is incredibly annoying during a show.
So my question is if it is possible to turn this notification down so it only alerts you once while starting up, or preferably turning it completly off( I bought all 512 channels, so what does it need to check?).
Best regards

Hey,

The software should only display this message once (when the interface is first plugged in) so there must be a problem with the connections. Please, try using another USB cable to connect your interface to the computer. If this doesn't fix the problem, try connecting to another USB port on the computer.
If none of this fixes the problem, there could be a problem with your interface's USB ship and you'll need to engage an RMA procedure to get it fixed (here : https://store.daslight.com/fr/repair).

Hope this helps.

TomHat

Hello,

Obviously, this SHOULDN'T happen... I'm not sure I understand properly this bit "But I didn't tested it with lights on." : Has it ever worked since our last contact ?

Have you plugged your interface with a computer that was connected to internet in the last month ?
Your post in from 2 days ago. Has it worked since ?

hello TomHat,
I know I promised to give up - but I could' nt do it.
Why the software did not recognize the interface was probably because I installed the new version of DasLight4 over the existing installation. after I deleted everything from the pc and did a complete reinstall, the interface was also recognized.
So far so good.
When I started the software I got always the message with "limited edition" So I bought the upgrade "lifetime" , the buttons of the Akai APC Mini no longer light up. The function of the keys is still given, but I can not see which key is active. I have a not upgraded installation on a Win7 laptop, there the Akai APC Mini works perfectly. so the long awaited question: Have you any solution?
Your Question about " "But I didn't tested it with lights on." means with plugged lights in the interface. (SORRY)
