Martin Wizard not showing in 3D visualizer

Post by Arne »

Hi,

My name is Arne, 56 yo, live in Germany and I'm playing around a little with the latest version Daslight.
This is all new to me so please be kind when my question might be a bit stupid... :D

Step by step I'm following the online tutorials and I noticed when I patch a Martin Wizard, this fixture does not show up in the 3D visualizer...
Other fixtures do show up but this one doesn't.

It's the simple old 8 Ch Wizard.
I also downloaded the latest ssl2 file for the Wizard, no luck.

I haven't got a Daslight USB interface connected though...
Could that be the reason?

Hopefully someone can shine a Daslight on this...
Thanks!

Kind regards,

Arne.

Hello,

Could you please checkout this version of the SSL file and let me know if this one works for you ?
I'd recommend testing it with a new show to be sure.

Hi TomHat,

Thank you so much for your kind answer.

I have tested your SSL2 Wizard file and this one shows up in the 3D visualizer... :D
But, to me it looks like it's not possible yet to simulate the Wizard in the visualizer like I think it should.

I'm not an expert but it looks like the reflector and roller (mirror drum), swivel and rotation doesn't work in the 3D visualizer like they should. So 2, 5 and 6.
I cannot say whether 7 and 8 (speed) work because the roller doesn't work in simulation.

I also tried the Martin Acrobat, which is the smaller brother of the Wizard.
Using the Acrobat, the roller doesn't seem to work in the visualizer either...

TomHat, the SSL2 file works correctly on the Wizard in a life situation... :D :D
So life I can controll the Wizard like it should, doesn't work correctly in the 3D visualizer though.

Thanks again TomHat, I hope we can get this working...

Kind regards,

Arne.

Hello,

Would you happen to have the technical sheet (or manual, or whatever document showing the technical specifications of the device) ? If you do, could you send it here (in a .zip file) so we can have a quick look ?

Hi TomHat... ;-)

Yes, I do have the manual of the Wizard.
It's the "normal" Wizard, not the Extreme version.

I took out the technical pages and included them into the zip file.
TomHat, if you need more information, please tell me, okay ?

Thanks again !

Hello,

Alright, thanks for sending over the documentation. Now I know where your issue comes from. EasyView cannot handle mirror drum swivel/rotation yet. It has simply not been implemented at this point. Sorry about that ! I'll pass this on to the developpers in charge of EasyView.

Sorry for the inconvenience. Have a good day !
