speed of loading the program

so I am running july 12 the edition of software
my laptop is an i7 and fast normally.
but loading my show takes 1 min 24 seconds.
changing between edit and live takes 12 seconds.

is this normal.
I have 306 scenes.

Hello,

Daslight4 software can be quite resource consuming. With just a minute and a half to load this 300+ scenes show, I'd say that's an okay time for this software to load all the data contained in your show. It gets huge, the more scenes and the more (different) fixtures you create.

s soon as edit / live button is clicked I do get "Daslight is not responding " message whilst the files witches over, is this normal?

Hi Richard,

As TomHat mentioned before if you have a big showfile then the software can be quite resource consuming. If the software is processing a heavy request then it could show "Daslight is not responding" and then it work okay again once processed.

I notice from your previous message that you are using an old version of the software. I would advise using the lates Beta found on our downloads page.
