Hello,

Are you using a MIDI Console ?
Where did you send the email ? I haven't received anything. Please send to [email protected] or [email protected].

Hi, I did send it to [email protected]

Also I use a midi controller. I use an APC Mini.
But I figured where this problem comes from. It is always when the program is inactive, so when I do not change anything. But I do send a dmx signal. Sometimes it takes 30 minutes for it to occur, but another moment I can happen when I do not touch my pc for like 5 minutes.

So it looks like when I do not use my pc for an amount of time, the program crashes.

Hello,

That is strange. One more thing : If this happens again, could you try unplugging the MIDI console ? Let me know if the program responds again.

One problem we've spotted is that APC Mini console isn't so fond of MIDI feedback sent by Daslight4 (when using the MIDI faders).
If you use MIDI faders for your show, and don't disable Feedback, the software might freeze at one point or another. But if you unplug the console and plug it back, the software goes back to normal.

Please let me know how that goes for you.

I already did disable all feedback on the faders because it isn't used by the apc mini. Also I found out this caused the software to slow down.
But that isn't the problem. I will try to disconnect the midi after freeze, but I think that won't help...

I try to maximize the "Show" window so that it occupies the entire screen and the program shuts down.
I try to change button icon in "show" window and it does not show me the images.

Hey GERMAN,

Do you have the possibility to try the same things on another computer ? The bugs you're reporting to be system-related and I'd like to make sure there is no software running on your computer that could interfere with your Daslight4.

Does it happen too with a new show ? Or is it only when you try to edit this show ?
Thinking it could have to do with the resources needed to run the show itself. Some of our users really create huge shows that become quite resource consuming.

Disconnecting Akai APC Mini isn't helping when daslight freezes. It freezes and I get the message that Daslight is no longer responding. The DMX interface is functioning but when I close Daslight the DMX interface stops.

I really need a fix for this...

I have had to stop using Daslight 4 for the same reason, constant crashing.

I was running the entire show off midi files from audio software and loopbe.

The switch over time from Editor to Live screen (8-12seconds) was also an issue especially as the show got bigger.

Loading the show file took well over 2 minutes after each crash, this was also a problem.

There did not seem to be any one cause of the white top banner. Daslight not responding.
I tried running the beta software too, no change.
It's a shame because so much of the software is really good.

Good luck let us know how you get on.
