PAN / TILT problems

Post by Pustervik »

Hi,
has just started using Dalsight 4 in an installation.
Everything works great - except a couple of cheap china moving heads I can't get to function correct.
The fixture profile that comes with the lights are not correct, so I made one myselt in the previous software I used.

The problem: when I create i profile for the fixture, I can get the pan/tilt to work fine using the faders - but the grid in the palette triggers uPan and uTilt.

Tried several different configurations but I'm stuck.

Tthe profile starts with
1 - PAN
2- uPan
3 - TILT
4 - uTilt

I'm a little hurry since I need to use the fixtures this friday. So please, if know, help me

Regards

/daniel

Hello,

Sorry about the delay. I'm not sure I understand what the problem is exactly.

Do you mean that the grid only triggers uPan and uTilt ? And no Pan, no Tilt ?

Hi,

I think I have the same problem. I have moving heads in 16 channel mode and the first four channels are:

1–Pan
2-Fine Pan
3-Tilt
4-Fine Tilt

When I manipulate the faders attached to Pan and Tilt the fixture Pans and Tilts normally, but if I use the Pan/Tilt palette the fixture only moves as if Fine Pan & Fine Tilt are being moved. When I check the fader page for the fixture it shows non zero values for channels 2 and 4, but 0 on channels 1 and 3.

Screenshots and ssl2 attached.

Hi,
sorry if I was not clear - but it's exactly the same problem.

Attached the file - it's not complete since I never got the pan/tilt to work properly.

All best

Hello,

This should work better. It does for me. Although, I'm not sure you guys had the same problem, now when I have seen both SSL files.

Pustervik, the Pan/Tilt grid should act on all 4 channels : Pan/uPan/Tilt/uTilt

Thanks!
The big problem was pan/tilt speed. And the default setting on that channel.
Now everything works great!
