Dimmer Faders in Show Mode

Hello,

I have a 4 channel Dimmer and I am trying to create 4 faders for this in Show Mode, but after placing the 4 faders they all act as 1. When I move 1 of the faders, all 4 channels move together.

They seem to be linkt together, is there a way to Unlink them?

When I work with the faders manualy in the fixture window (below) they work independently and correctly, but in Showmode they don't.

Hi Ravana,

Add 4 x dimmers to the Show Mode tab then right click to enter EDIT mode. Right click a fader and edit the associations, you will need to assign each fader to each individual dimmer. See that attached image.

Well it did not work
I see diferent info on my screen... I did sellect dimmer1 un fader one, dimmer2 on fader 2, etc. I have tried sellecting and desellecting ddp405 dimmer from the Luminaries list, but in both cases: same result.... all 4 faders move at the same time (like they are linked together).
Maybe it's a problem with the fixture, su I will try and remake the fixture myself from zero, as this should not be to dificult being only 4 dimmer faders.... maybe it will work then...?

Try patching them as 4 single dimmers fixtures from the '_Generic' folder and you should see the same options as me. Cheers

Hello, Finally I created a new fixture with 4 dimmer channels and that works perfectly... so the problem was the fixture.

Dear Daslight Team,

I am experiencing exactly the same problem. However, if I patch 4 single channel dimmer instead of the predefined fixture I am no able to use the effect generator on the fixture anymore. I can still create effects but I am not able to preview which makes creation really uncomfortable. Can you help me how to fix this, so I can use dimmer in show mode as well as effect creator for the fixture?

Hello,

Yes sadly this seems to be a limit in D4's conception. Show mode works on channel types, meaning all channels of the same type in a fixture are all treated as one.

We sure will take this into account for next versions of our software, though.
