DVC4 GZM - Not Responding with Daslight 4

Hey all,

I just ordered a DVC4 GZM device from eBay and it isn't responding with either my mac or PC.

It appears in the preferences but when I select it in devices, it won't stay checked, it just resets each time I re-open the preferences. I've tried different cables on both mac and PC and still no dice.

There is also a blinking "OFF" on the visual LCD.

I've attached photos of both described behaviors. I looked through the manual and searched the forum for this behavior but didn't find anything, so please forgive me if I'm overlooking something simple.

Any ideas?

I really appreciate your help, hoping it's something simple and I don't have to return the device.

Hi pcpmeltsfaces,

The interface is strange because it's not the logo of the Daslight4 interface, but that of a previous version, probably DVC3.
As far as I know, it's not compatible.
Did you buy it on a reliable store ? Or is it a second hand model ?

Let's wait for the advice of TomHat about this issue.

That's unsettling...

I got it used on eBay secondhand, I messaged with the seller before I decided to buy it and he seemed legit, we had a back and forth about the program and he mentioned he just hadn't been using his Daslight interface much because he'd been on tours, and said it was working properly and he had no issues with it before he shipped it out.

I appreciate any additional insight anyone else would have, as I'd like to return this as soon as possible and just buy new from Daslight if this is indeed the issue.

From what I can see, this interface is an old model (DVC2 GZM) no longer compatible with Daslight4. We have stopped making and supporting this product a while ago.

Although, for whoever reads this : This model of interface (SIUDI 7A) can be used for our upgrade offer (sell us your old interface in exchange for a good discount on the purchase of a new one) available here :

So here you have two options :
- Demand to cancel your purchase
OR
- Look into our upgrade offer and use this old interface to buy a new DVC4GZM for cheaper.
