Smooth move beam 7r

Post by cosmin zegrean »

Howdy!
I have a DVC 4 gold and I want to make a slow-moving program. But when I do the slow motion program, the steps go jerky, it's not a smooth move. I use Xlight chroma 7r.
If I already have a program, and I want to slow down, it does not have slow and fluent movements. What could I do?

Hey,

How do you "slow down" your program ? Are you using the scene speed slider ?

Yes. I use the slider from the program. but if I do the program with "add a pan tilt effect", it's still not a smooth and continuous move. neither in 3D , neither in live action. The light have pan and tilt tine channel but if i use them
the program does not end the moves and the program goes chaotic.

Hey,

Have you tried lowering the compression of your effect ? No matter if you are using fixtures with OR without tine pan/tilt channels, you'll eventually lost the "smooth" moves when slowing down your effect. Now what we could try is to lower the compression of your effect before generating, to add more steps and therefor improve a bit the moves.

Hope this helps.
